From Taliesin West, Wright's winter home, Wright developed another style, desert rubble construction. Desert rubble construction uses rough stones and concrete that are shaped with a wooden form. Just outside LA, in Malibu, Wright created the Arch Oboler Gatehouse (1940), utilizing this style. While the European-style mansion has been one of his main homes since 1991, Stewart and his family relocated back to the UK in 2016. Indicating his departure from LA, Stewart spent $85,000 to transport his enormous 124ft long model railroad - a representation of a 1940s American city inspired by Manhattan - to his new home. While the estate is adorned with an extensive collection of art pieces and statues, these are not included in the sale. The home features two sitting rooms — the den and tea room — which both boast wood-burning fireplaces and an English-style design. Upon arriving at the lavish home, residents can admire the motor court's picturesque fountain before entering through the mansion's columned doors.
